Being a pharmacy manager for over 20 years had me disillusioned with health care.
When this small country church came up for sale, I felt in my gut that it would be a great place to have a business. I had a vision of a gathering space for parties that would be nicer than a VFW hall, but not as expensive as renting a winery (and priced accordingly). I would be my own boss.
The Grand Traverse Show Chorus has been my passion for over 20 years. We would be able to hold our weekly Tuesday rehearsal here! We could host performances and our annual High Tea and other fundraisers here too!
Remodeling during the pandemic was a challenge. But it was just as well, since I could not rent the space while gathering restrictions were in place. I think we will be having another “Roaring Twenties” decade now that it is over!
